Review Of The Human Touch Swivel Base Model HT-3300 Massage Chair
Sunday, June 20th, 2010Take control of your stress by relieving it as it arises with a massage chair. I take a look at the Human Touch HT 3300 massage recliner. This massage recliner comes with a variety of different programs to provide massage therapy when you need it most.
The HT-3300 massage recliner comes in a sleek modern design. It has sloping oak accented armrests. The rest of the chair is done in a solid color with a black swivel base.
One thing that you’ll notice with this massaging recliner is that the calf massager can be hidden. This helps the design aesthetics especially on a swivel base recliner. The design of this chair is rather plain. It’s most attractive feature are the wood armrests.
The remote control of this recliner is fairly simple and straightforward. It is a palm-sized remote which comes with a variety of controls to select the features you would like to use. Like most remote controls this one is also hardwired into the chair.
You can select from the three automatic massage programs. This model of recliner comes with the following automatic programs: sore muscle relief, stress therapy and back wellness. Simply select the automatic massage of your choice and the program will run the entire chair for 15 minutes.
There are a number of manual professional massage techniques contained in this lounger. These are manual movements which are designed for specific types of relief. These techniques include kneading, rolling, percussion and compression. Target any of these techniques to relieve trouble spots on your back.
There is also a power recline for the chair back. This can be adjusted via the remote control. This particular chair will recline back to 170 angle. If the chair is completely flat then the angle would be 180.
The calf massager angle can be adjusted. This is done using a manual lever located on the side of the chair. The manual lever activates a piston which will raise the leg rest. However to lower this leg rest, you must use force from your legs to push the calf massager back downward.
The calf massager comes with a unique rotating device. To use the calf massager simply put your legs in the leg wells. When you are done, you can rotate the calf massager to a flat side. This makes the lounger more attractive when not in use.
The leg rest can massage either the feet or the calves. You can position your legs inside of the leg wells to receive a treatment. Otherwise you must bend your knees to position your feet on top of the calf massager to receive a massage.
The HT 3300 is not a full body massage chair. The massage functions include a roller mechanism for the back and shoulders. It also has a calf massager for the feet and calves. The seat is simply a cushion and contains no therapies whatsoever.
Although this has a number of different massage programs, I personally did not find that they were very strong for my taste. I prefer more deep tissue type of massage and found that this chair was much more subtle and weak than others in its class.
As with any massage chair, it is important to try one out to make sure it’ll fit your needs. The Human Touch HT-3300 was weaker than I had hoped. I have found that if the chair is weak in the beginning then it’ll be less effective in the future. You will build up resistance to the massage and it is better to have a stronger massage chair than a weaker one as you can always soften a strong massage chair. However, you cannot make a weak chair stronger.
